Today was important for two reasons:

1. The RBA raised interest rates another 0.25%. I realise that interest rate hikes mean that the economy is recovering, but still... Boo.

2. The race that "stops a nation" proceeded to stop the nation at 3pm, and due to my love of TV crime dramas, I backed the horse that placed second: it was called 'Crime Scene'. I got $22.40 back after betting with $19.00. A win!!!

Husband and I celebrated Melbourne Cup in our lounge room with a cheese platter and a bottle of champers. Total fun town. The only downer = it's 37 freaking degrees and I'm absolutely melting!!
