more placenta crazy
I don't want this blog to become all about placentas, but I couldn't resist posting about this article..
A friend sent me this link today: apparently, placentas are enjoying a roaring trade on the Chinese black market, as they're perceived as being rich in nutrition and good for your health.
Of course - China being China - placentas from male babies are sold at a premium, natch.
"If the mother is very healthy, the baby was a boy and was her first born, the placenta price increases," an unnamed buyer was quoted as saying.
You can't make this stuff up!

Welcome!
Hi! I'm Sarah. I am a 30-year-old writer, mum, traveller, animal-lover, quasi-vegetarian, lip gloss fiend, movie buff and property addict living in Sydney, Australia. I love the smell of newly-printed magazines and books, a cup of tea and a treat at the end of the day, and packing for holidays.. the anticipation is half the fun! Thanks for visiting :)
