Yikes. Watching this video gave me a heavy heart, in the same way that the Texas-sized rubbish swirl makes me want to curl up into a ball and cry.

As Jamie Oliver says in the footage: if he stood up and said, "I have the cure for AIDS" or "I have the cure for Cancer", we'd be fighting and scrambling to get it. And here we have an entirely preventable health epidemic, obesity, which can be addressed through diet changes... but we continue to scarf down fast food and "edible food-like substances", as Michael Pollen puts it, in vast quantities.

At 20 minutes it's a lengthy video, but worth watching if you have the time. It'll make you want to eat a fruit salad, stat.
