Hollywood stars getting plastic surgery is nothing new, but for some reason it's only recently started to bother me.

The thing that tipped me over the edge was seeing these shots of Idini Menzel - the Elphaba from "Wicked" - sporting a brand new nose. Check out the before and afters; they look like two different people.

The thing is, Idina was gorgeous beforehand. Her nose wasn't perfect, but she had a beautiful, warm, distinctive face. Now she just looks like every other pretty young actress.

I did a little re-con and found a few other recent 20-somethings that have homogenized their looks. With the growing popularity of plastic surgery, and advances in technology that allow "lunch-hour face-lifts", it makes me wonder whether we're all going to look virtually the same in 20 years time?
