my mandarin

Our household is currently going through a citris pandemic. We get a box of fresh, farmer direct fruit and veges delivered every week, and each box comes with at least 4 mandarins, a couple of oranges, and usually a tangello... and we've only been eating, at best, 2 or 3 orange fruits a week between us.

So, we've now got a mandarin stockpile of epic proportions, and I've enforced a new rule that we have to eat at least one orange fruit per day.

I had a mandarin after breakfast this morning, and it was delicious, but so pip-heavy! EVERY WEDGE had at least one pip - and one wedge had six pips! SIX! It was more pip than mandarin, and it took like 15 minutes to eat. It was so much more effort than eating, say, an apple, or a banana, which is precisely how we got into this excess mandarin mess in the first place...

I'm thinking of whipping up a batch of Mandarin Juice, but it just doesn't sound as appealing as OJ!
