I overheard a conversation today. I was walking to my dentist appointment in the city, and I passed a young family at Chinatown. There was a cute little blonde girl, no more than 3 years old, whining to her parents about wanting to do something or see something, I couldn't quite make it out.

Then her mum turns around and says, "Yes, well, the thing is sweety that the world doesn't revolve around you, does it?"

I almost laughed out loud - imagine saying that to a toddler! Blondie looked a little confused, but she stopped whining, so I guess, Goal for mum. But what a crappy life lesson to learn when you're only 3.
